My NCCA journey began in 1991 as a seventh grade teacher. I moved to fifth grade in 1992 and became a middle school teacher in 2008. I teach sixth grade math and history, seventh grade language arts block, and eighth grade history. My involvement in the After School Program has been a godsend to me.
It is humbling to teach in a place where I can share God’s grace with students. I go to work each day feeling His presence and knowing He guides me to teach life skills through academics, devotions, and puppets, as well as incorporating Him into their social lives.
It is a privilege to see middle schoolers grow into their faith – to watch them share it with younger children as well as each other. I love devotional time each morning where we journal, read God’s Word, and see how we can apply it to our lives.
